Don't forget about O'Reilly. Who as I have stated told me his contract is basically signed in Col. He loves it there.

Good point. He may be that piece but the term is too crazy! From a Canucks POV 2-3 years max. I believe Doan is a class act and a real competitor just can't accept 5 years.

He want's to stay in the west and win. He part owns a team in B.C If not Phoenix than it's Van. His wife and him are from B.C

i totally get the age is scary.....and the $$$ is way to much for a 20 goal scorer.......but his toughness...and intangibles are 1st class....

i DK....from a Sabres point of view he is almost everything that we have been squawking that Buffalo needs since Drury and Briere left....if they have a shot to land him then they should try

If I had to handicap the race, I'd say that Philly and the Rangers have the early pole position in the Doan Derby. Pittsburgh, Buffalo, and Montreal fill out the top five.
